2018 Year in Review

I am shocked at how 2018 has flown by! It seems like yesterday that I started on my journey to a healthier lifestyle. Wow! I have to say this year has been one of change for both Padrone Marco and myself.

In January, I was having a lot of health issues and decided that since I was turning 45 in 2018, I needed to try to get some of my health problems under control. I started on a path to living a healthier lifestyle by changing my diet as well as actually exercising. I started out slow and gradually progressed as the months went along.

I started a weekly blog about the challenges that I faced on my journey to fitness. It helped express what I was going through while also inspiring others to start their own healthier lifestyles. I wanted to show my struggles, as well as my triumphs, to let people know they weren’t alone in what they were going through. I also started a YouTube channel and have made several videos talking about my weight loss and how it’s affected my submission and our BDSM dynamic.

In March, I had lost about 10 kilos (22 pounds) but Padrone had not joined me on my health journey yet. On 8 March, while he was at work, he started having problems breathing, walking, talking, and even came close to passing out.

He was still smoking about 3 packs of cigarettes a day and eating anything he wanted in any amount. That was Padrone’s personal wake-up call. After being rushed to the hospital for an 8 day stay, he had no choice but to quit smoking, eat better, and lose weight.

Padrone was diagnosed with high blood pressure, diabetes, and a high acid amount in his blood. With all that, we had to figure out what he could eat. It wasn’t easy because of all the restrictions, but also because Padrone was really not happy with having to be so restricted in his food choices. After many trials and errors, we finally found a balance that gave him the nutrition he needs while somewhat satisfying his cravings.

In August, we had a wonderful friend from the USA and her English companion come and visit for a week. We totally cheated on our diets and saw a lot of great sites. I think that has been our best August holiday since I’ve been here.

Because of our self-improvement and health focus, our online presence and BDSM blog took a big hit. I wasn’t posting new blogs as much as I had been the previous year. Then many of the major Social Media sites started making crackdowns on kink friendly content. Google announced that it was completely getting rid of their G+ platform. Tumblr announced that it was closing and deleting all adult related content and Facebook made new, ridiculously strict, community guidelines. With all of these new restrictive measures in place, we decided that it was time to move our blog from the Blogger platform to our own site where we could post whatever we wanted without restrictions.

In October, we launched Michelle Fegatofi Lifestyle (www.michellefegatofi.org). On this site, I write about a bunch of different topics that are close to my heart. I have categories for Health, BDSM, Epilepsy, and Life in General. We are growing slowly but I’m super happy with our progress so far. For those that subscribe, you can also log into the forum and post questions or answer others that may be asking for advice. Did I mention it’s free? I don’t charge any fees. Go, sign up, read, and share!

So, now we’re at the end of the year, looking at the start of the new year. We are planning to continue the expansion of our new site, as well as exploring the many new kink friendly social media sites that are just now becoming available. I will be posting a new list soon where we can be found and hope you all go and follow us!

What else will 2019 bring? Whatever comes our way, Padrone and I will get through it together as a team.

We have to give a special thank you for our close friends that have stayed with us all these years. Many of you have become extended family. Thank you to all of our readers and and welcome to all of our new followers. We hope you all continue growing in the new year! Have a safe and healthy holiday season!
